BATTLE-SCENE PAINTING OF RUSSIA. PART- II.

Here is one of more outstanding and finest paintings of Russian art time of USSR. It was published in all art cataloques, journals, school-books. Artwork of realy famous artist Alexander Deyneka (1899- 1969), Honoured artist, Academic, Professor of Fine Arts. He was very very productive Artist, greatly tallented. He was marked by goverment, so everytime he got much of orders. All Moscow metro mosaics, monumental painting, easel paintings more and more artworks he done...
He had his own, conceptual point of view on art definitive of another Rus. fine art of that time. Throught he everytime was "Goverment artist" he liked to show in his paints what he didnt like in that style of life. Even some modern art critics called his exchibition: "Deyneka- fighter against Kommunism and Soviet state." It was many discussions in press about it.
Here you see one of his Battle paintings "Defenseof Sebastopol". Its one of my lovest paints of my deep childhood. Subject- Russian marine solders defend Sebastopol by fashist army. It was one of longest and terrible battales of that war. Sebastopol failed after long bloody fear. It was fear for two sides of warriors- rus and Germ. All feel themselves as in deep hell. As generals of both armies too. So ok- its not history tale... Look at THIS!!!

BATTLE-SCENE PAINTING OF RUSSIA. PART- I.

Here i begin new theme in my blog. Its "Battle-scene painting of Russia". I want to dedicate it to univesary of final of World War -II. In Russia it took time since 1941 till 1945 years. I feel that no sence to wright here about history of war (but i know it fine. from different points of view). Here better tell about "War in Art".
First exchibited artwork dedicated to first point of battle in Rus- Brest Fortress. It was a plan of attak which didn't include this little fort in. But garrison of Brest Fort fighted more than one month against more dominated forces of enemies who have hard guns, modern planes, exelent teached solders! Till death of last solder. After battle German Generals and Hitler presently visited Brest Fort that to learn- WHAT it was and why...

"Defence of Brest Fortress."  Artist- Krivonogov (1911-1967). Krivonogov- one of famous Russian battle-scene artists. He really took part in battles of that war. After he worked in Workshop of Millitary Artists named of artist Grekov. So where painted many artworks.
This is one of my lovest paintings of my childhood.
Note - Brest- town on border of Belorussia and Poland.

PRICE OF ART EXPERIENCE

Whistler’s habit of giving the names to his artworks, confusing the audience with their eccentricities, his rejection of academic conditionality, so all these things provoked fury of John Ruskin (1819 - 1900), a great art- critic, a supporter of Turner and the Pre-Raphaelites. In 1877 Whistler exhibited two night landscapes, painted in the Japanese manner, calling them “Nocturnes” and asking for 200 guineas each. By this incident Ruskin wrote in rage: "I've never heard that smug buffoon who can ask two hundred guineas for the fact that he threw a pot of paint in the face to the public." Whistler sued him in court for libel, and this case is once again found a deep divergence of views among the public and the artist. Immediately raised the question of "completion of art product", and Whistler's cross-examination was asked – really artist want to get unreal money for "two-day job." To which Whistler replied: "No, I am asking money for knowledge of all my art life experience”.
SO ARTIST WON! (But… He was- Great James Whistler 1834-1903))

RUSSIAN IMPRESSIONISM. KONSTANTIN KOROVIN (1861-1939)

NOTES ABOUT ART. Taken from diary of Artist.

The workstudio is the salvation of the world's meanness, evil and injustice.

Not only that to make the right color tone, it must be skillfully painted on canvas.
That this tone accurately expressed its appointment in given artwork.

The right tone to tone is not advised to take a separate shade and color, cast it on canvas,
not retire to background.

ABOUT PAINTING

"Real technique of art is only available to artists, it is relying on science, that is, artists, students of anatomy and
perspective - two necessary science to help you rise and flourish of high art. Realism is one based on the ability to look
and smear that you see on the proverb "as I can, and shave, is the beginning of decadence, debauchery in the art."

Pavel Chistyakov. Great Russian artist and founder of his own realistic-painting school (style).

ABOUT ME

Here i decided to post this article about me. I have a purpose to introduce myself to my readers. For usefull connection.
"Impressionist of XXI century". Article of Anna Bascacova (worldwide federation of art-journalists)
Andrey Lysenko, a Moscow painter, descends from a painting dynasty which can be traced back to the beginning of the XX century. His grandfather, a painter, studied at Surikov Institute, his father and mother, at the Academy of Arts in Leningrad. ‘I had no doubt about my future occupation’, says Andrey, ‘I grew up in my parents’ studio among the smell of oils and diluent. I was sure that painting was my destiny. Both father and mother had taught me to paint and had ruled me since my childhood. My grandfather had never been a teacher. He was a man of peculiar temper, a creative person. I became his only follower. He tried to impart what he had been taught by his teachers (Igor Grabar, Aristarkh Lentulov, Boris Ioganson) to me. Being a religious person, he, nevertheless, believed in a communist future in an innocent, childish way and painted sincere beautiful works. I have inherited almost everything from him, apart from the ideology. His style, which can be defined as “realism-impressionism”, is characterized by the minimalist line and expression; it is based on a very precise drawing without distorting the form. I paint in oils as he did, there are no particular reasons for it; I do it simply because I have been using oils since my childhood. These paints are in tune with me.

Its my artwork of 1999 year. "View on old Russian town". 80/100 cm. oil/canvas.
